Dr. Gold is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended Cornell University and completed his undergraduate studies receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. He subsequently attended New York University College of Dentistry where he earned a D.D.S. degree. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He has been a clinical teaching fellow at Columbia University College of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in New York City.
He has also been appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Drexel Hill University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Gold was involved in running the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Gold has been elected to the Westfield Regional Board of Health where he currently sits as an active board member. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, and the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
